Dr. Brian Tasky has been in private practice in Duluth, MN since 2006. Since the beginning of his practice career, he had an interest in occupational health. Seeing an opportunity, he began to expand into DOT compliance, DOT medical examinations, and DOT drug testing. Establishing relationships with individual drivers and companies of all sizes, Dr. Tasky has grown this portion of his practice to where he now performs many hundreds of DOT physicals every year.
In 2012, he was asked by Northwestern Health Sciences University to develop and teach their training course for DOT medical examiners. Since, then he has taught that course to hundreds of doctors – allowing them to test to become certified medical examiners as required by the FMCSA’s new certification standards law.
In late 2012, Dr. Tasky wrote and published his practice test to aid in the preparation that doctors, advanced practice nurses, and physician's assistants will need for the DOT certification test. In early 2013, Dr. Tasky himself took the FMCSA’s test and became the first certified medical examiner (CME) in his region.
Dr. Tasky continues to practice as a general family chiropractor and occupational health expert today.
